COI compliance for general contractors

Check every COI against your rules, not just its expiration date.

CertTrackr reads each subcontractor certificate, compares its limits and coverage details with your requirements, and sends anything missing or uncertain to review.

Why expiration tracking is not enough

A certificate on file isn’t the same as compliant coverage.

Expiration tracking catches one obvious problem. It does not tell you whether limits are high enough, evidence is missing, or a field is too uncertain to rely on.

01

Coverage below your minimum

A certificate can be current while showing limits below your company or project requirements.

02

Coverage only indicated

A certificate notation may still require an endorsement or another source document to verify.

03

Information is unclear

Blurry scans, missing details, and low-confidence fields go to review instead of becoming a green check.

A closed compliance loop

From inbox chase to a reviewable record.

Three steps give your team a repeatable process without creating another burden for subcontractors.

01

Set your requirements

Configure company- or project-level limits and the coverage evidence you require.

02

Collect without friction

Send a private link. The sub uploads from a phone or computer without registering or paying.

03

Review and stay current

Confirm flagged fields while CertTrackr handles 60, 30, and 7-day renewal follow-ups.

Built-in judgment guardrails

AI helps read. Your team decides.

CertTrackr reports what the uploaded document supports. Missing, conflicting, or low-confidence information is flagged, and your team makes the final decision.

  • Extracted values stay beside the source document
  • Uncertain fields are marked “Needs review”
  • Reviewer actions and status changes are logged
  • Tenant-isolated records and role-based access

Early access, with the founder in the room

Hi, I’m Wyatt. I’m building CertTrackr for smaller GCs.

Founding customers work directly with me to configure their coverage rules, roll out the upload process, and shape the product around real workflows, not a generic enterprise checklist.

Questions worth asking

What CertTrackr does, and what stays with your team.

Does CertTrackr approve subcontractors?+

No. It compares uploaded information with your configured rules and flags the result. Your team decides whether a subcontractor is approved or permitted to work.

Can a COI prove additional-insured status?+

Not always. When the certificate indicates an item but supporting evidence may be needed, CertTrackr marks it for review instead of treating it as verified.

What does the AI do?+

It extracts names, policy details, dates, limits, and coverage indicators. Missing, conflicting, or low-confidence information is routed to human review.

Do subcontractors need an account?+

No. They upload through a private magic link without registering or paying a fee.

How are renewals handled?+

CertTrackr sends reminders 60, 30, and 7 days before expiration and follows up directly with the subcontractor.

What does the founding rate mean?+

Founding customers keep the $150 rate while their subscription remains continuously active. Standard pricing is $200 per month.
